Kristin's Kickbacks List Week of 2-3

Activities

February 4. 9 a.m.-12 p.m. (Every first Saturday of the month). Home Depot's Free Kids Workshop. The workshops teach children do-it-yourself skills and tool safety, while at the same time helping to instill a sense of accomplishment. In addition to the newly constructed project kit, each child receives a kid-sized orange apron, similar to The Home Depot associates' aprons, and an achievement pin.

February 4 (and every Saturday). 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Make a free craft at Lakeshore Learning Store. There is a store on Devonshire near Balboa and another in Pasadena. Check out their website for more information. www.lakeshorelearning.com

February 4 (and every Saturday). 9:30 a.m.-10:05 a.m. and also from 11-11:45 a.m. – Free Kids Rhythm Club @ Remo. Come & enjoy group drumming with your family and friends every Saturday morning and the first Sunday of each month. A kid's drum circle appears to build self-confidence, self-esteem, expands the musical imagination and nurtures creative thinking. Parents and/or guardian must remain with children. The Remo Recreational Music Center - 7308 Coldwater Canyon, North Hollywood, CA 91605. http://remormc.com/

February 4. 12 p.m.-2 p.m. Lego and Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation have partnered to offer a free Lego Build event at Toys R US ! Children 5 years and older can stop by their local Toys R US to build a Lego Lemonade stand and take it home with them. For each stand built, The LEGO Group will donate $1 to ALSF! Free build available while supplies last!

Ongoing Deal

Food 4 Less has Cheerios and Cinnamon Toast Crunch on sale for $1.50 a box when you buy 4 boxes. This is good through Tuesday, February 7. You can get a coupon from Target’s website (it’s a manufacturer’s coupon, so it’s accepted at Food 4 Less) and get an even better deal! You should be able to print out 2 of these coupons (usually for printable coupons you can print it two times). Yay!

Here’s a way to give someone a free movie night! Go to Redbox’s facebook page, send a valentine to your Facebook friends, and they'll get a promo code that they can use for a free one-day DVD rental on February 14th.

Upcoming Events

February 11. 10 a.m. FREE Build and Grow Clinic at Lowes. Bring your child to Lowe's and they can build a project. The kids get goggles and an apron and a kit to build an item. They use hammers their size and get a patch afterward for completing the project. I would recommend getting there early.

February 14. 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Free day at the Autry Museum (across from the L.A. Zoo). 4700 Western Heritage Way, Los Angeles, CA 90027. (323)667-2000.
